Eagle scout gift question?
Ive been dating this guy for about 9 months and hes having his eagle scout ceremony next month.Does anyone know any good gifts that i could buy him? Hes not really very into boyscouts, but its still a big accomplishment. I looked at some things online, but most of them are pretty cheesy, like boy scout figurenes and patches, none of which he would really like. Please let me know. Thanks!
Not all Eagle Scouts are given a flag – I was a Boy Scout leader for 10 years and never saw it done. So I wouldn’t go out and buy a flag case unless I was sure that his troop does that as part of the ceremony.
I did like the idea of getting him something that would go along with his future plans.
Many of the young men in our troop have been going on to college, so I would go to the bank and get a roll or two (depending on how fond of him I was) of the Sacajawea gold dollars – the obverse side has an eagle on it. But that’s really too impersonal for a boyfriend.
Would he use a money clip if he had one? I’ll bet you could find a nice one with an eagle on it…
