What does a Girl Scout make you think of?
Whenever I tell someone I am a Girl Scout. The first thing they say is, ” So…what do you do all day, sell cookies? I say of course not! And it just makes me wonder if Girl Scouts really that big of a difference…is it just me, or does no one here know what Girl Scouts do? And do you think Boy Scouts are better than Girl Scouts?
im a girl scfouts going on my 10 th year and i love it to death. I deffinetly agree that people dont know a thing about girl scouts. Legit. when ever i proudly tell people i am a girl scout the only reason they know what it is is because of Boy scouts. i know alot of my friends constantly ask me why im in girlscouts when “all they do is go door to door annoying people to buy cookies!” it just makes me so mad. thats deffinetly not all we do, yes we sell cookies and yes we do community service but we also go to amusement parks, we travel, we go camping we do all sorts of stuff. Girl scouts gives girls alot of oppertunitys to do stuff most girls our age dont get the chance to do and people dont understand that. for example, ive only been to 3 states including my own state that i live in and the other two are neighboring states. next summer girl scouts is giving me the oppertunity of a life time, or atleast in my eyes it is, to go down to missouri and be a camp counselor to a group of girlscouts with dissabilitys. my friend who is in my troop was given the oppertunity to travel to london england this past month. There is so many oppertunities to travel around the world with girlscouts its ahmazing.
