Some Info on boy scouting?
A while ago I was in cub scouts and then moved up to WEBELOS, but after that I had to quit do to to much stuff in my day. Recently one of my good friends who is a boy scout leader asked if I wanted to come to camp with his troops, (he has like 300 boy scouts he leads) and it got me thinking that I could again become a boy scout.
I would like some information on what I would need to do and some stuff about why you like scouting. Mom says it will be a lot of work, but I’m pretty sure that I will be able to complete it. If you could give me the requirements to advance levels that would also help alot
P.S. I’m 13 if that helps.
You should try out his troop for a couple outings without getting a uniform so you can test it out.
If the scoutmaster asked you to come join his troop he should be perfectly willing to help you out.
To join boy scouts, all you need to do is find a troop in your area, you do not need to have completed webelos to join scouts. Meritbadge.org has all of the requirements for ranks and merit badges. It has helped me immensely in my scouting carrer, i have been in scouts for less than 3 years and am almost eagle. If you work at it you can do it.
