Girl Scout Gold Award Projects?!!!!?
I am working towards my Gold Award and I don’t even know where to start. I’m a senior in high school and I’m going to go to college to major in childhood education, so I’m trying to think of ideas that have to do with children. Maybe something like homework help after school at the library. The basic requirements is that the project has to leave a life long impact and I have to put in lotsssss of hours planning and doing the project. PLEASE HELP ME!!! ANY IDEAS WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED

When I was in the Civil Service we mentored 2nd graders in a school near the base. To me this has made a life long influence on me even though I haven’t kept in contact with the child. We would go off base and spend two hours a week with the child reading, talking, imaging about the world around him. I learned things, saw how classrooms were overcrowded, helped the teachers, etc. Its an easy project, it looks like it on the surface, but there are untold hours spent with this child.
